Apothecare Pharmacy
Apothecare Pharmacy is a unique one of a kind clinical pharmacy based in Calgary, AB. We are currently operating Alberta's first Pharmacist-led Lipid and Obesity clinics. The members of our team also specialize in in diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, NAFLD, and mental health. We designed our pharmacy to be clinically focused - so much so when you walk into our pharmacy the dispensary is hidden and instead you are met with minimal OTC products and two large counselling/exam rooms. Our founders Stephanie Gysel and Dan Burton have worked in a number of settings and realized that primary care and preventative medicine is the future of our healthcare system. With our practice we are not only supporting our family physician colleagues but we are also bridging the gap between family physicians and specialists - supporting the triaging and management of patients to help reduce wait times and burden on our care system. Both Stephanie and Dan are also actively involved in research completing post-doctoral fellowships with the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine. Becoming independent pharmacy owners has allowed Stephanie and Dan to do all the above as well as the freedom and flexibility to continuing growing and providing the care Albertans not only need but deserve.
