(CPhA) - Local pharmacist and educator Cheryl Cox was honoured with the CPhA International Leadership Award at the Canadian Pharmacists Conference Awards Ceremony in Ottawa, ON, on Thursday, May 28.
Innovation, strategic thinking and the ability to develop strong and lasting personal relationships have made Cheryl Cox a leader in international experiential education. Her dedication to advocating for international clinical placements has led to exchanges in Japan, the United States, Trinidad, Australia, Singapore, France, Sweden, Norway, Brazil, Mexico and Egypt. Cheryl has been an exemplary role model for her peers, her students and the international pharmacy community. Her dedication has given the university an outstanding portfolio of high quality international experiences for their students, stronger curricular integration cross faculties and more diverse offerings of interdisciplinary studies that truly set the University of Alberta apart as a leading international university.
