Nwanneka Joseph

Nwanneka Joseph is the Social Accountability Program Coordinator for the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.

Originally from Nigeria, Nwanneka moved to Newfoundland over a decade ago, but her desire to see the rest of Canada prompted her to move to Alberta, where she made Edmonton her home. In her work as the Social Accountability Program Coordinator for the FoMD, she works with the faculty and pentagram partners to integrate social accountability into the education, research and service activities that targets the priority health concerns of Albertans.

Vision for Social Accountability

She believes that social accountability is a journey that takes into consideration the unique experiences and voices in our communities. As such, she is excited to collaborate across sectors to address unique challenges faced by our local communities. In doing so, she hopes we can create a lasting impact, where silent voices are brought to the table and priority health concerns are addressed.

Hobbies + Interests

Outside of work, she enjoys a variety of activities and is currently learning how to crochet. She has been known to dabble in crafts such as soap making, painting, script writing and video making.
