Janian studied diamondiferous and non-diamondiferous eclogite xenoliths from the Fort a la Corne kimberlites. Samples for her project were provided by Star Diamonds (previously knownas Shore Gold).
Janina successfully defended her Ph.D. in September 2018.
After completing her Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Alberta, Janina completed a Postdoctoral research fellow at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. In 2022, Janina joined the Carnegie Instituion for Science as a Diamond Specialist.
