Safe spaces for youth mental health: A Scoping Review
Mental illness is a significant challenge during adolescence and youth period, posing a threat to individuals’ mental health, well-being, and productivity. Despite the global burden, comprehensive evidence on the use of youth-safe spaces to improve their mental health has been limited. Therefore, this review aims to explore the existing literature on the role of safe spaces in shaping the mental health outcomes of youth.
Saba Nisa is a first-year PhD Nursing student with a strong research interest in climate change and its impact on youth mental health, as well as the well-being of children, women, and older immigrants. With a passion for addressing health disparities, Saba aims to explore the intersection of environmental factors and mental health in vulnerable populations. She is committed to advancing knowledge in nursing and contributing to solutions that improve health outcomes for diverse communities.
