About the Centre for Cities and Communities
The Centre for Cities and Communities (CCC) traces its roots back to both the Real Estate Program and the School of Retailing.
We discovered a need and an opportunity to elevate the standards of real estate education in our country. The Real Estate Program is committed to shaping the future of the industry and the individuals who will lead it forward. Offering an unparalleled advanced education in real estate, our students gain opportunities beyond a traditional business degree, emerging as future industry leaders.
Through the School of Retailing, we motivated and inspired students to pursue careers in retailing. By fostering connections between students, stakeholders, and employers, and providing faculty with opportunities to explore new ideas, we've made a significant impact on the industry. Our commitment is to continue leading this change as visionaries and collaborators.
Today, our research, teaching and programs bridge academia, industry, government and NGOs. We encourage diverse conversations, always approaching challenges from a broad perspective that reflects various areas of expertise in the city-building space. For example, our student consultants and research partners have delved into topics such as post-pandemic real estate markets, community readiness for autonomous vehicles and the dynamic between e-commerce and traditional brick-and-mortar establishments.
Our Vision
To be a global leader in collaboration among city-building disciplines involved in research, practice, knowledge advancement and education to contribute to the creation of great places for all.
