This innovative platform connects ASB students with alumni and industry professionals to foster meaningful mentorship relationships.

The Ten Thousand Coffees mentorship platform is designed to provide a flexible, online-driven delivery of mentorship at the Alberta School of Business, while ensuring additional support is provided for students to navigate their career exploration and development.

The platform facilitates connections based on its smart-match algorithm, ensuring meaningful and relevant mentorship relationships.

The algorithm uses the shared interests, goals, and profile attributes to match students with members of the community for a valuable, meaningful conversation. Ensure your profile information is detailed, accurate and up-to-date to improve mentorship match suggestions and create a more tailored experience.

The platform suggests monthly introductions based on detailed profiles, ensuring optimal mentor-mentee matches.

Ten Thousand Coffees hosts two separate ASB Connect Hubs (undergraduate and MBA) to better facilitate student development, mentorship, and engagement!

ASB Undergraduate Mentorship Program

Join our mentorship community and mentor BCom students through the Ten Thousand Coffees platform. Engage with our undergraduate students who are seeking guidance and mentorship from more recent alumni, entry- to mid-level professionals, but also seasoned managers, senior executives, leaders, and experienced industry and technical professionals.

ASB MBA Mentorship Program

Join our MBA Mentorship Program - ASB MBA Connect Hub. Engage with our MBA students who are seeking guidance and mentorship from more seasoned managers, senior executives, leaders and experienced industry and technical professionals.

How It Works

Join the ASB BCom Connect Hub, or the ASB MBA Connect Hub as applicable. Mentors, feel free to join both! (note: you will need to join and set up each Hub and profile separately)
Follow the login instructions - you will need to verify your account via the link which is sent to the registered account email address, before you can gain access to the Hub.
Once you are verified and signed up, please take some time to carefully complete your profile, including your goals, interests and other profile attributes.

You’re all set!

You can now reach out and connect with members directly, based on their preferences and interests and the profile information entered.

The 10KC Smart-Match algorithm uses the profile information, shared interests, goals, and profile attributes to match students with members of the community for a more valuable and meaningful conversation. Ensure your profile information is detailed, accurate and up-to-date to improve mentorship match suggestions and create a more tailored experience.

The platform itself will suggest monthly/periodical introductions based on the mentor and mentee profile preferences and details available — including goals, shared interests and profile attributes, and match you with members of the community for a valuable and meaningful conversation.

Once introduced on the platform, members are free to connect and meet their own convenience and frequency (either virtually or in person, based on your preferences and comfort).
