Transfer Students
If you have completed courses at the postsecondary level, you must meet the subject requirements listed above for high school students and present a competitive Admission Grade Point Average (AGPA), which varies by program of study. If you present less than 24 units of transferable coursework, you will be assessed on both your high school and postsecondary averages. Full admission details can be found in the University of Alberta Calendar.
The amount of transfer credit you receive (to a maximum of 60 units of course weight) will depend on the number of transferable courses you have taken and the program you apply to. As part of the application process, your courses will be assessed on an individual basis and appropriate transfer credit will be granted after the offer of admission has been accepted. For more information on whether your courses transfer to the U of A, you can use the Transfer Credit Search Tool and/or the Alberta Transfer Guide search linked below.
