Alicia Yang began her path at the University of Alberta, where she pursued an MSc in Health Promotion. As an international student, she embraced the opportunities and challenges of a new environment, demonstrating resilience and a strong commitment to growth. She later earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, complementing her public health training with practical skills in project management.
Professionally, Alicia has held roles at Covenant Health and Alberta Health Services, with a focus on patient and resident engagement, healthcare quality improvement, and project management. Her volunteer work and leadership roles within the School of Public Health Alumni Chapter and Emerging Health Leaders highlight her commitment to community and collective growth.
Now serving as a Member at Large on the Alumni Council, Alicia is driven by a desire to give back to the university community that has shaped her journey.
Outside of work, Alicia enjoys spending time with her family and hiking local trails with her husband and two young boys.
