Faculty Excellence

Congratulations to John Pracejus, Onita Blankenfeldt, and Jason Lee on 25 years of service, and a special acknowledgement to Barry Scholnick and Mark Huson for an impressive 30 years of commitment. Your enduring contributions have positively shaped the lives of countless students.

Congratulations to Ian Gellatly (Applicant, SEM) and Andrew Luchak (Co-Applicant, SEM) on being awarded $97,557 for their project, titled "Re-thinking EDI: Relational Coordination and the Implications for Management Practices" at the 2022 Insight Grants Competition.

Dr. Ilbin Lee and Dr. Sahil Raina were awarded tenure at the Alberta School of Business with the decision of the Faculty Evaluation Committee. Congratulations!

Professor Randall Morck received an Honoris Causa Doctorate from the University of Montreal. This honorary degree is in recognition of Dr. Randall's standing as one of the top Financial Economists in Canada and one of the best in the world. Congratulations!

Student Success

The University of Alberta set a record for the most All-Academic Canadians (AAC) in 2023. The criteria to be honoured as an AAC is maintaining an average of 80 per cent or better over the academic year, while competing full-time for one of the university’s varsity teams. This year, 179 Golden Bears & Pandas were named U SPORTS Academic All-Canadians, with 26 students being from the Alberta School of Business.
