Mia Lang, Department of Pediatrics, has been recognized with the Michel Weber Education Award from the Canadian Pediatric Society.
Alice Cojocaru, departments of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine, was named Preceptor of the Year by the Basic Clinical Year Residents from the Island Medical Program at UBC.
Stephanie Liu, (aka "Dr. Mom") Department of Family Medicine, is the winner of the 2019 new media award for Momentum Mental Health.
Puneeta Tandon, Department of Medicine, received the Alberta Society of Gastroenterology Distinguished Researcher Award.
Pablo Amigo, Department of Oncology, received the Grey Nuns Community Hospital Excellence in Teaching Award.
Samina Ali, Department of Pediatrics, was honoured with the 2019 Top Pediatric Research Abstract and the Richard Kohn Memorial Award for Mentorship in Emergency Medicine from the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians.
Vickie Baracos, Department of Oncology, was awarded the Earle Willard McHenry Award of the Canadian Nutrition Society for Distinguished Service in Nutrition.
Sandra Davidge, Executive Director of the Women and Children's Health Research Institute (WCHRI), Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, received the 2019 Excellence in Research Award from the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada.
