Some concerns have been raised about the recent establishment of a U.S. executive order, restricting entry into the United States by citizens of seven countries.
While we are still trying to understand the further implications of this decision, we are aware that it may have an impact on our community for travel related to research and conferences, among others. We will be providing updates as the situation develops. Please see the University of Alberta's website page with U.S. travel ban information and resources for students, faculty and staff here.
At the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry and the University of Alberta we embrace diversity, and welcome members to our community to develop their talents and do amazing work. The pursuit of excellence in health research and treatment must extend beyond borders freely to reach those in need of better care worldwide.
Our commitment is to provide any guidance and support we can to our health sciences community during this time. We will continue to pursue the values of our university, "uplifting the whole people."
