We are saddened to announce that Dr. William A. Bridger former chair of the Department of Biochemistry and former U of A associate vice-president (research), passed away Dec. 18, 2014.
Bridger was leader both within the University of Alberta and within the Canadian scientific community. To commemorate his distinguished career, the William A. Lectureship in Biochemistry was inaugurated as an annual event in 2005. Learn more about Bridger's career and the lectureship series.
