Menstrual Health & Hygiene Management in Rural Tanzania

Ellen Gunn and Anastasia Sizov are the current co-VP Internationals of the Students Invested in Health Association (SIHA). In their previous roles as International Interns they traveled to Morogoro, Tanzania to collaborate with the local Tanzanian team in implementing menstrual hygiene educational initiatives and improve product accessibility in rural communities. Anastasia has a BSc in Neuroscience and is currently a second year medical student at the UofA.  She has special interests in women’s health and improving global access to basic healthcare resources. Ellen Gunn is currently completing her Bachelor of Science in Immunology & Infection at the UofA and has an interest in improving public health initiatives locally and internationally in a community driven manner.
