Health Care and Insurance
Health and Wellness is about a lot more than just not getting sick. University life can be stressful, and it's important to look after many different contributors to your wellness, such as eating well, staying active, and finding ways to destress. However, for many, the new environment, climate, social situations, etc., raises a need to look after yourself medically as well.

For health advice or information and finding a healthcare, call Health Link 24/7 by dialing 811. HealthLink is often much quicker than going to a hospital or clinic. It also provides services in many languages - if you're unsure about asking your question in English, you can request request service in your native language.
811 Health ClinicWalk-in Clinics
Walk-in clinics (no appointment necessary) are a great option for dealing with minor injuries and illnesses or routine medical examinations. These clinics are located all over Edmonton and are often a better option than hospitals in non-emergency situations. Medicentres is the largest walk-in clinic provider in the Edmonton area.
Personal Safety and Security
The North Campus of the University of Alberta covers a large area of the City of Edmonton, and the daily population of the campus alone reaches over 50,000 people. We all have a role to play in maintaining a safe environment for the staff and students.
