Undergraduate Entry Requirements from West African Examination Council (WAEC)

Applicants Completing WAEC

Applicants will be evaluated for Early Admission on presentation of the following:

  • transcript showing your SS2 schools marks and SS3 course registrations or SS3 first semester grades if available

To obtain Final Admission and clear conditions:

  • present final WAEC scores meeting the U of A’s requirements and submit scratch card information enabling your scores to be validated online

Applicants Who Have Already Completed WAEC

Applicants will be evaluated for Final Admission by presenting final WAEC scores meeting the U of A’s requirements and submitting scratch card information enabling your scores to be validated online.

GCE: A-level

NCUK

The U of A is proud to be a partner school of NCUK. Students taking NCUK curriculum will be evaluated based on their first semester grades for conditional admission. Final  admission is based on final NCUK grades. The same subject requirements apply for NCUK as they do for GCE A-level students.

Scholarships and Awards

Admission-Based Scholarships: Automatic Evaluation!

You are automatically evaluated for these scholarships when you apply for admission. Your eligibility will be based on your high school admission average at the time of your admission offer.

International Admission Scholarship

Top students could receive up to CAN $5,000, depending on admission average.

Regional Excellence Scholarship

Top students from certain regions could receive up to CAN $5,000 based on admission average.

Gold Standard Scholarship

The top 5% of students in each faculty could receive up to CAN $6,000, depending on admission average.

Application-Based Scholarships: Apply Early!

You must apply to an undergraduate degree program before you can apply for any entrance scholarships. The deadline for application-based scholarships is January 11, 2023. Check out some of our tips about how to apply or visit our scholarship application form to get started.

Offers will be made starting in early Winter 2023.

President’s International Distinction Scholarship

Students with a superior admission average and demonstrated leadership qualities entering their first year of an undergraduate degree on a Student Visa Permit could receive up to CAN $120,000 (payable over four years).

International Leader Scholarship

Well-rounded leaders with superior academics may receive up to CAN $10,000.
