Certificate in Sustainability
The Certificate in Sustainability is an embedded undergraduate certificate that allows students to focus on human and environmental issues of increasing importance.
Overview
By completing this certificate, students have the opportunity to study across disciplines, facilitating a deeper understanding of issues such as climate change, food security, renewable energy, biodiversity and social inequality.
Eligibility
Students in the following faculties are eligible:
- Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences
- Arts
- Augustana Campus
- Business
- Campus Saint-Jean
- Education
- Engineering
- Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation
- Native Studies
- Science
Requirements
To be awarded the certificate, students must complete the following:
- 12 credits of coursework, including 3 credits in core courses, 3 credits in focused courses and 6 credits in related courses
- attend 12 hours of outside-the-classroom sustainability lectures
- an integrative project followed by a public presentation of the project
