Preparing for Canada Post Disruption

A potential Canada Post strike may disrupt the timely delivery of mailed or shipped items, such as pay cheques, Sun Life claim reimbursements, vendor payments, and honorariums as early as May 22, 2025. Below are some tips:

Pay & Benefits

Ensure you’re signed up for payroll direct deposit to avoid delays and ensure uninterrupted access to your pay and benefits reimbursements

• Set up direct deposit online via Bear Tracks, or 
• Complete and submit the Direct Deposit Request Form to the Staff Service Centre.
• If you are an employee who is enrolled in supplemental benefits, follow the instructions from Sun Life on how to make claims online and set up direct deposit. 

Mail & Deliveries 

For urgent outbound items, consider using a courier service with a physical street address. For non-urgent items, consider holding items until the Canada Post dispute is resolved.
