Today marks the first day of National Nursing Week in Canada, a chance to celebrate the nearly 460,000 regulated nurses in our country.

The University of Alberta’s Faculty of Nursing is leading the way through its teaching, practice and research. The program is ranked number one in Western Canada and among the best in the world, recognized globally for transforming the health and well-being of Albertans, Canadians and humankind.

Meet some of the U of A’s transformational leaders who are improving access to care for rural Albertans, helping people stay healthy at home as they age, building trust in the system to improve child health, digging deeper into lifelong heart health and educating the next generation of nurses:
