2022 Canada’s Most Powerful Women

Frincy Clement, graduated from our Computing Science Department in 2021, is awarded the 2022 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100™ in the science and technology category. The press release was announced on 2022 Oct 19. Frincy is joining a legacy that began 25 years ago and be part of an influential community of over 1,400 remarkable women.
In another competition, she was shortlisted in the Top 25 Women in AI: Canada Edition, and subsequently awarded the Advocate of the Year 2022.
Frincy is now working in Telus. Each year, the TELUS Communications women’s network, proudly celebrates the achievements of remarkable women and allies through their Connections Honours Leaders of Excellence (CHLOE) Awards. Frincy was one of the 10 members of the TELUS Business team announced as 2021 CHLOE Award Winners.
During her Multimedia Program study (2019-2020) in Computing Science, she completed her internship requirement in AltaML. Frincy was selected to represent student interns as a speaker (2020/10/30 news release) in the Minister of Advance Education event, acknowledging the importance of the Mitacs programs and funding from the Alberta Government to support companies like AltaML to equip students with essential industrial experience.
Being an immigrant women of color in Canada, it was quite the journey to make the mark in history. Her career in #AI and involvement with Women in AI Canada has made this day possible.
