Abram Hindle selected for the 2020 science fellowship at the TELUS World of Science Edmonton

Associate Professor Abram Hindle is recognized as one of northern Alberta's outstanding researchers!

Abram Hindle is selected as one of the awardees of the TELUS World of Science fellowship in 2020! This award recognizes an outstanding researcher or innovator based in Northern Alberta.

The awardee will be an individual early in their career who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to science, technology, mathematics, medicine, or engineering. Contributions can take one or more of many forms, including research, teaching, entrepreneurship, communications, and innovation. The award recipient will be recognized at a TELUS World of Science - Edmonton event, given a monetary award, provided a professional development scholarship and will participate in several TELUS World of Science - Edmonton events during the year.

Hindle's research is focused on the evidence-based study of software development. From this Faculty of Science article: "Technical terminology and complex language can be a barrier for community members interested in learning more about computing science. During his tenure as a TWoSE Science Fellow, Hindle plans to work with the community to build meaningful tools and language to address this issue and reduce the barrier to entry into his field."
