Every year, the Bill Buxton Dissertation Award is given out to one outstanding doctoral dissertation in the Human-Computer Interaction research area of Computing Science. The winner of the 2014 award was given to the University of Alberta's Dr. Michelle Annett.
This marks the second year in a row that the award was granted to a member of the University of Alberta's AMMI Lab, following Dr. Xing Dong Wang's win in 2013.
