The Institution of Knowledge showcases research-in-action performances and installations that investigate the structures of knowledge that configure cultural and educational institutions, working to highlight the forms of knowledge that have historically been excised from such spaces. Each work in this exhibition suggests that, if we are to avoid re-inscribing Euro-Western colonial logics and hierarchies, those of us who work within contemporary institutions of knowledge must reorient our practices in ways that are radically relational, situated, and responsively accountable to not only which knowledges and bodies are included but how such bodies remake the pathways through which knowledge is developed and shared.
